Methodology
TikTok's Creator Rewards Program pays only for videos over one minute that meet originality and qualified-view rules, at a rate most creators observe between $0.40 and $1.00 per thousand qualified views. Short clips and non-qualifying views pay nothing.
Because the platform rate is low relative to reach, brand partnerships usually dominate a serious TikTok creator's income. This calculator adds all three streams so the total reflects how the account actually earns.
Every figure here is an estimate. Real earnings move with your niche, audience country, season, advertiser demand and how a platform is paying that month, so treat the result as a planning range rather than a promise.
Example calculation
- An account gets 2,000,000 views a month at a $0.50 rewards RPM: (2,000,000 ÷ 1,000) × $0.50 = $1,000.
- One brand deal at $800 adds $800.
- Live gifts add $150.
- Total: $1,950 a month across 20 posts, about $97.50 per post.
Frequently asked questions
How much does TikTok pay per 1,000 views?
Under the Creator Rewards Program, roughly $0.40-$1.00 per 1,000 qualified views on videos longer than a minute. The retired Creator Fund paid far less, around $0.02-$0.04.
Do I need a minimum following to earn?
The Creator Rewards Program requires 10,000 followers and 100,000 views in the last 30 days, plus an account in good standing in an eligible country.
Why did my TikTok payout drop?
Qualified views are stricter than total views — rewatches, very short watch sessions and views on clips under a minute do not count. A change in your average video length will move the payout immediately.
How much should I charge for a TikTok brand deal?
A common starting point is 1-3% of your average views as a dollar figure, adjusted for niche and usage rights. The sponsorship rate calculator works this out properly.
Are gifts and TikTok Shop income included?
Gifts are included as an input here. TikTok Shop commission depends on product price and conversion rate, so track it separately with the affiliate side of your reporting.
